Crystal River's Community Development Code decides what can be built where. Like most municipal codes it is long, dense and dated December 2024, and it is the kind of document that gets opened once.
What we made
A story map that walks the code one district at a time. Each zone gets a plain description, a photograph of what that zone actually looks like around town, and the parcel map beside it. A resident can find their own street and read the rules that apply to it.
Where it lives
It runs as a public story map the city points to from its code resources, published December 2024.
